    The Opportunity
    At Alera Group, our Employee Benefits team helps organizations attract, retain, and support their employees through innovative benefits solutions. As a Account Manager, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional client service, building trusted relationships, and helping clients navigate the complexities of employee benefits.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, providing responsive service and support
    • Troubleshoot and resolve eligibility, billing, and claims issues while partnering with carriers and vendors to drive successful outcomes
    • Support compliance-related activities including plan documentation, filings, testing requirements, and benefits administration processes
    • Review benefit-related communications, contracts, and plan materials to ensure accuracy and consistency
    • Assist with open enrollment preparation, employee communications, carrier updates, and vendor implementation activities
    • Coordinate renewal deliverables and ensure benefit plan changes are implemented accurately and efficiently
    • Collaborate closely with Executive Consultants and Account Executives to support client strategy and successful service execution
    • Partner with internal teams to coordinate resources, manage priorities, and ensure a seamless client experience

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Qualifications
    • Experience in employee benefits, insurance brokerage, benefits administration, account management, or a related field
    • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, solve problems, and manage competing priorities
    • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business technology platforms
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience supporting employee benefits clients and benefit plan administration
    • Working knowledge of compliance requirements, COBRA administration, plan documentation, and regulatory filings
    • Experience coordinating open enrollment activities, renewals, and employee communications
    • Knowledge of carrier operations, benefits platforms, and vendor management processes
    • Experience working within an insurance brokerage, consulting firm, or employee benefits environment
    • Life & Health Insurance License or the ability to obtain one

    Compensation
    • Salary Range: $60,0000- 70,000 annually
