    Summary

    Our client, a leading commercial flooring contractor based in San Diego, is seeking a results-driven Account Executive. This hybrid role combines sales and project management, providing an opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, drive revenue growth, and manage projects from pre-construction through completion. You will work out of the San Diego headquarters, managing relationships with general contractors and end users across the region, while overseeing successful project execution.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Business Development / Sales

      • Identify and pursue new client opportunities across general contractors and end users

      • Maintain a strong presence at industry events and associations

    • Pre-Construction & Planning

      • Conduct job site visits to assess project scope, take measurements, and identify logistical challenges

      • Create take-offs and detailed estimates for labor, materials, and preparation requirements

    • Project Management & Execution

      • Oversee projects from contract award to completion, managing schedules, budgets, and installation quality

      • Coordinate with in-house installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and execution

      • Conduct regular site visits to proactively resolve field issues and verify progress

      • Track and manage job costing, billing, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle

      • Identify risks and inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions and process improvements

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Experience

      • Proven experience in commercial construction sales, estimating, or project management, preferably within the flooring industry (5+ years preferred)

    • Skills & Knowledge

      • Strong project planning and organizational skills

      • Ability to read plans/specs and use digital take-off and estimating tools

      • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal teams and external clients
