STATUS: Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
Servicing, retention, and rounding of Personal Insurance accounts.  Responsible for all service-related activities within the book of business. The candidate will work directly with producers, clients, and prospects to ensure comprehensive coverage according to agency procedures and standards. 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage all account transactions including applications, quotations, ID cards, proposals, summaries, endorsements, cancellations, certificates, binders, billing, follow-up, and correspondence on assigned accounts in accordance with the Agency’s procedures and timelines.
  • Service personal lines accounts in a manner that eliminates gaps in coverage, thus reducing  E&O exposure.
  • Coordinate expirations so as to contact clients and obtain renewal information on assigned accounts in accordance with the Agency’s timelines and procedures.
  • Prepare quotations, coverage summaries and comparisons, proposals, and recommendations needed to ensure clients' and prospects' understanding of coverage.
  • If necessary, obtain information, deliver, and/or present quotes to clients out of the office.
  • Review new applications for underwriting acceptability, completion, and accuracy.
  • Review new business, renewals, and endorsements to insure items were received as requested and processed accurately.
  • Survey policy coverage and identify and work cross-selling and upgrading opportunities.
  • Actively work toward helping producer(s) achieve assigned new business sales goals.
  • Maintain client files on the agency management system(s) and use same for processing all transactions and to document conversations.
  • Effectively utilize all carrier websites or programs required to quote or maintain policies for clients or prospects.
  • Maintain an effective suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items.
  •          Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and to develop knowledge and skills.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as requested.
PERSONAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
  •          Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of
transactions and other responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  •          Working knowledge of personal lines coverages and policies 
High School education or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years’ insurance
  •          Completion of AAI, CIC or CISR designation preferred
Property & Casualty Insurance License
  •          Ability to analyze complex insurance situations, needs, and options and communicate these options both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise manner
Ability to understand written and oral communication, and interpret abstract information.
  •          Advanced Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets
Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures
  •          Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
Strong computer skills with and familiarity with tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and AMS360
  •          Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently and take the lead on all elements of client servicing when necessary
  •          Negotiation and presentation skills

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
