Description
The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health in the School of Public Health at Texas A&M University invites applications from outstanding candidates for a full-time, academic professional track (non-tenure) faculty position. This is a 9-month faculty appointment anticipated to start as early as August 1, 2026. Applicants will be considered at the rank of Assistant Professor of the Practice, Associate Professor of the Practice, or Professor of the Practice level, commensurate with the candidate's industry and academic experience. Responsibilities include teaching, student advising, and community service, including industry engagement and oversight of a departmental Industry Advisory Board.
The selected candidate will report directly to the Department Head and will be required to teach a minimum of four courses per year. The candidate will also assist departmental leadership in developing and managing Key Performance Indicators of departmental success across educational programming, research, and service activities. A central responsibility of this position is oversight of the Department's Industry Advisory Board, which consists of more than 70 industry leaders from across the country in the fields of environmental and occupational health. The Board serves in an advisory capacity to guide departmental faculty and staff in the development and delivery of educational programs and course content, and inform the Department of emerging issues and technologies, challenges, and workforce needs in the environmental and occupational health sector.
