What Youll Do:
- Provide routine and complex labor and delivery nursing care to antepartum and postpartum patients
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, observing for side effects
- Document patient history, symptoms, and care given
- Educate patients and families on health, labor, and postpartum procedures
- Assess patient needs and collaborate with the care team to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to acute situations and manage emergencies effectively
What You Need:
Required:- RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
- BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
- Certification from AWHONN in Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- 1+ year of labor and delivery nursing experience
Preferred:- Perinatal RN residency or recent practice in a similar setting
- Experience with high-risk antepartum and postpartum scenarios
