    Description

    2nd Shift Supervisor / Team Lead

    Location: Toledo, OH and surrounding areas
    Shift: 2nd Shift
    Schedule: Monday–Saturday, with Sundays as needed
    Hours: Must have flexibility to work 10–12 hour shifts when necessary

    We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor/Team Lead to join our team in the Toledo area. This position is responsible for overseeing multiple sorting, inspection, and rework operations within an automotive manufacturing environment.

    The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory or team lead experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Forklift certification or several years of forklift operating experience is a plus.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee containment operations and supervise laborers assigned to inspection, sorting, and rework jobs.
    • Monitor the inspection of customer products at assigned tables and workstations.
    • Lead by example while maintaining organization, cleanliness, and good housekeeping throughout the facility.
    • Ensure all employees follow company health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Immediately report any accidents, injuries, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
    • Coordinate shift-start activities, including workstation setup, table requirements, paperwork, and job assignments.
    • Ensure all end-of-shift responsibilities are completed, including auditing paperwork and time sheets.
    • Communicate important job information and updates to the incoming shift Team Lead.
    • Ensure all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available to complete assigned jobs.
    • Provide on-the-job training and communicate new or updated work instructions to employees.
    • Maintain accountability for all personnel assigned to specific jobs.
    • Provide feedback to Supervisors or Managers regarding employee performance.
    • Report policy, safety, or procedural violations to the appropriate Supervisor or Manager.
    • Participate in and support all company health and safety initiatives and requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
    • Previous supervisory or team lead experience required; 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
    • Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
    • Flexible schedule with the ability to work 10–12 hour shifts when necessary.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds.
    • Basic math skills required.
    • Microsoft Office experience preferred.
    • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain procedures and provide direction to employees.
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
    • Forklift certification or significant forklift operating experience is a plus.
    • Strong leadership, organization, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
