The Repair Supervisor is responsible for coordinating repair activities. This position supervises a team of repair technicians, assigns tasks, and ensures efficient and timely completion of repairs, while managing schedules, records, and optimizing operations to meet customer needs.

2nd Shift: 3:00PM - 11:45PM, Monday-Friday

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Branch Operations in coordinating the operations and processes of testing, repairing, and refurbishing products.
  • Supervise and coordinate repair technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repair tasks, quality performance, safety standards, and efficient turnaround times.
  • Direct the work of employees engaged in wiring, soldering, and assembling fabricated components to create subassemblies or assemblies for electrical or electronic systems.
  • Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of work orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Train and mentor repair technicians, providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and performance.
  • Assisting in enhancing the performance and productivity of a department of employees within the repair operation.
  • Order parts and equipment, as necessary.
  • Provide the next level of support for escalated technical issues during the work shift.
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates on repair status and address any concerns or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
  • All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Electronics certification.
  • Experience in circuit board soldering required.
  • Previous technical management/leadership experience.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Capable problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities, demonstrating a strategic approach with a focus on achieving results and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Systems.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
  • Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
  • Experience in supervising temporary staff.
  • General knowledge of OSHA Standards.

Educational Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
