Manufacturing Production Manager

Lead and oversee day-to-day production activities on second shift to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals. Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with operational and workplace safety standards. Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. Review production schedules and allocate resources to meet operational objectives efficiently. Identify, develop, and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities. Manage, mentor, train, and develop production employees to build a strong and engaged workforce. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and address employee relations matters when required. Support succession planning and strengthen team capability through employee development. Communicate company objectives, initiatives, and policies effectively across the shift. Partner with quality teams to investigate issues and maintain product conformity. Recommend and implement improvements to processes, equipment utilization, and production methods. Establish and monitor operational metrics, analyze trends, and drive corrective actions where necessary. Facilitate regular team meetings focused on performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is advantageous. Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership, supervisory, or management experience. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing best practices. Ability to analyze data, track performance metrics, and implement process improvements. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting capabilities. Experience coaching, motivating, and developing employees. Ability to manage change, overcome operational challenges, and deliver results. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software. Positive, team-focused leadership style with a high level of accountability and ownership.
