Job Description

Reporting directly into the Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Lead and supervise 2nd shift manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and efficiency targets.
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the operation.
• Review production schedules and adjust workforce allocation to meet operational requirements.
• Develop and implement productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Manage employee performance, including coaching, training, development, and succession planning.
• Support hiring activities and build a high-performing manufacturing team.
• Communicate organizational objectives, policies, and operational priorities to employees.
• Monitor product quality and collaborate with quality teams to resolve process variations.
• Analyze operational data, develop performance metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead team meetings and encourage employee engagement in improvement activities.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will bring prior manufacturing leadership experience and a proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment. They will have a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and production management best practices. Key qualifications and attributes include:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is advantageous.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience within manufacturing.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development capabilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate teams and achieve challenging operational goals.
• Hands-on leadership style with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Positive attitude, accountability, adaptability, and a willingness to drive change.
