    Austin Achieve Public Schools is an open-enrollment public charter school with the mission to prepare the youth of East Austin to attend and excel at the nation's top colleges and universities.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work daily inside 3rd and 4th grade math classrooms alongside the classroom teacher, teaching small groups, checking student understanding, and providing immediate feedback.
    • Review upcoming math lessons with teachers and identify key skills, likely misconceptions, and students who will need additional support.
    • During lessons, monitor student work and respond to misconceptions in the moment through questioning, modeling, and targeted reteaching.
    • Provide daily targeted math intervention to students who are below grade level, using student data to determine the specific skills to teach.
    • Plan and lead after-school math tutoring for identified 3rd and 4th grade students.
    • Review student work, exit tickets, assessments, and STAAR-aligned data to determine who needs intervention, what they need, and whether the intervention is working.
    • Track each students intervention skill, progress, and assessment results, and recommend when students should enter, change, or exit intervention.
    • Meet regularly with 3rd and 4th grade math teachers and instructional leaders to review student progress and determine specific instructional next steps.
    • Attend Math Team Meetings and come prepared with current student data, trends, and students requiring additional support.
    • Model personal organization and efficiency.
    • Demonstrate a long-term commitment to the organization.
    • Go "By any Means" to ensure all scholars are "College Ready."
