- Cell Culture Bioproduction Manager/Principle Scientist
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the following R&D position.
Job Responsibilities:
- This individual will lead a team of R&D scientists and technicians focusing on development of stable cell line products, and development and optimization of large scale cell culture processes for production of recombinant proteins.
- This individual will design and carry out experiments and provide technical leadership to associates, explore new technologies to speed up process development for cell culture, monitor current technological developments in cell culture process development, and work closely with other groups to provide support for projects.
Qualifications:
- PhD with 4+ years industry experience or MS with 8+ years industry experience in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related field.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell product development is required.
- Hands-on experience with recombinant protein production using mammalian cells is required.
- Hands-on experience with bioreactors is required.
- Previous experience in cell culture scale-up, tech transfer including drafting development reports, production batch records, protocols etc., is highly desired.
- Previous experience in cell culture platform development and cell culture media development is plus.
- Knowledge or experience with GMP is plus.
- The ability to succeed in a multidisciplinary, fast changing and diverse team environment
- Demonstrated excellent organizing and coordinating skills.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
