    Description

    CONTROLS ENGINEER NEEDED - JONESVILLE, MICHIGAN

     

    A Leading Automotive Supplier near Jonesville, Michigan needs a 1st Shift Controls Engineer. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    Trouble shoot equipment consisting of Weld Controllers, Robotics and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's)

    Design electrical and electronic circuits

    Program PLC's, AC / DC Drives and Servo Drives

    Modify Robot, PLC Programs and machine screen interfaces

    Equipment Maintenance - Review and Troubleshoot Downtime Issues. 

    Change Welding Consumables as needed.  Work with Production, Quality to help Reduce Cycle Times. 

    Trouble Shoot and Repair Equipment Components

    Adjust MIG and Spot Welding schedule adjustments.

    Ensure compliance with codes, standards and legislation

     

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

     

    A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is Preferred but not Required

    3 to 5 Years of Experience as a Controls Engineer in a Manufacturing Plant

    Working knowledge of Motoman and Fanuc Robots

    Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC's and Slick 500 Experience

    Strong Verbal & Written Communication Skills in English

    Knowledge of Technical Controls and Strong Troubleshooting Skills

    Ability to work independently and problem solve

    Proficient in Microsoft Office
