    Pro Resources is hiring for a facility that has specialized as a superabrasive expert since 1973, providing custom cutting, polishing, and grinding tools to multiple industries. It is the company's policy to fully satisfy customers' needs and expectations on an ongoing basis.

    The CNC Machinist Will
    Produce machined parts by learning to fixture, set up, and operate CNC equipment while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. This entry-level role supports manufacturing operations through accurate measurement, basic program adjustments, equipment upkeep, and proper documentation, with hands-on training provided along the way.
    1. Learn to read, understand, and follow work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings
    2. Learn to measure and verify part dimensions using comparators, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, indicators, and other precision tools
    3. Learn to operate CNC machines within the assigned department
    4. Learn to edit programs and make minor adjustments at the controller, including familiarity with G-code and basic CNC programming logic
    5. Select and set up proper work holding such as collets, chucks, or vises
    6. Learn to set up and change tooling as required for each job
    7. Maintain quality standards by inspecting first-run and in-process parts
    8. Meet standard productivity requirements and follow established manufacturing processes
    9. Report time, materials, and job progress accurately in manufacturing systems
    10. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
    11. Perform routine equipment checks and communicate maintenance needs
    12. Perform other duties as assigned
    Required Skills/Knowledge
    1. Ability to learn to read, understand, and follow work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings
    2. Ability to learn to operate CNC machines and select/set up proper work holding
    3. Willingness to learn program editing and minor controller adjustments, including basic G-code familiarity
    4. Ability to learn to measure and verify part dimensions using precision tools such as comparators, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, and indicators
    5. Ability to follow instructions, ask questions when needed, and learn new processes quickly
    6. Clear verbal communication skills
    Skills/Knowledge Preferred
    1. 2+ years of related machining or manufacturing experience
    2. Experience with HAAS experience 
    3. Ability to safely run and use required shop equipment
    4. Strong conceptual and mechanical aptitude
    5. Ability to operate manual machines (lathe, mill, grinder)
    6. Understanding of CNC controls, instrumentation, and machining principles
    7. Basic knowledge of G-code structure and CNC machine functions
    8. Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, and ERP systems
    9. Strong functional and technical skills with attention to detail
    10. Dependable and punctual, with consistent attendance
    11. Able to work independently or as part of a team
    12. Strong problem-solving mindset with sound judgment
    13. Quality-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement
    14. Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the CNC machining trade
    Physical Requirements
    1. Prolonged standing throughout the shift
    2. Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching
    3. Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
    4. Frequent exposure to grease, oils, noise, and coolant in a manufacturing environment
    Essential Functions
    Able to stand for prolonged periods throughout the shift, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed, and regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to grease, oils, noise, and coolant while safely operating CNC and manual shop equipment.
