Job Summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Engineer Systems 3 to support advanced programs within the Connectivity and Network Solutions (CNS) Business Unit in San Diego, CA. The selected candidate will perform systems engineering activities throughout the entire system lifecycle, including technical planning, requirements analysis, system integration, verification & validation, risk analysis, and systems architecture.

Candidates with RF systems experience and waveform knowledge are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning and systems engineering activities across the product lifecycle.

• Support system architecture, design, integration, and validation.

• Conduct:

• Functional Analysis

• Requirements Analysis

• Interface Definition

• Trade Studies

• Timeline Analysis

• Risk & Cost Analysis

• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

• Support system verification and validation (V&V).

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Ensure systems meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience

OR

• Master's degree with 3+ years

OR

• PhD with 1+ year

• Experience in Systems Engineering throughout the product lifecycle

• Experience with:

• System Integration

• Requirements Management

• Verification & Validation (V&V)

• Trade Studies

• RF Systems Experience (Required)

• Waveform Knowledge (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler)
