Engineer to
support the installation, modification, operation and maintenance of Large
Earth Terminal systems. The systems are electronic, mechanical, electrical and
RF based.
<\/p>
<\/p>
What You Will
Do:
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Monitor system operation
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Correct electronic and
mechanical system malfunctions and maintain system health
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Work in an open environment
where frequent and direct interaction and collaboration with customers and
peers is ordinary
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ability to work in a
multi -tasking dynamic environment under general direction
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Attend design reviews for
new projects.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Member of a team of System
Engineers responsible for ensuring the sustainment of functionality and
operation for a large quantity, and wide range of hardware components.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform system and unit
level hardware maintenance, preventative maintenance, and corrective
maintenance.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform periodic
maintenance, preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and
component level repair.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Services digital, RF, fiber
optic and AC power systems and components.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Track and document system
performance metrics, creating problem reports and records.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure high level of
systems reliability and availability, reducing operational issues and outages.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Responsible for ensuring
sufficient spares and replacement hardware units were maintained/operational.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Work with highly calibrated
/ technical equipment.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Requires 24/7 on -call
support (maximum of 1/month).

Qualifications
You Must Have:
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Degree in Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior
relevant experience
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Performs component -level
electronic repairs with precision and accuracy
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Skilled in Ethernet -to -digital
signal conversion
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Diagnoses and troubleshoots
power supply issues in electronic systems
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience with maintenance
and troubleshooting on operational electrical and/or mechanical systems
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Familiar with testing
equipment.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience with diagnosing,
providing status, and reporting system issues.
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Expertise in
troubleshooting various interfaces: ethernet, fiber, controllers.
<\/p>
<\/p>
Qualifications
We Prefer:
<\/p>
• Ability to know and
understand a wide application of technical theories and concepts utilized in
this area – block diagrams – wiring diagrams – schematics – system
troubleshooting
<\/p>
• Multiple LET
operational certifications and be able to obtain and maintain certifications
for ground terminal operations.
<\/p>
• Desire 12 years’
experience with two or more of the following:
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Electronic systems
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Electro -mechanical systems
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>RF Theory
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Software applications
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Data processing systems
<\/p>
• Working experience
with Engineering in a Customer Environment.
<\/p>
• Excellent technical
writing and presentation skills
<\/p>
• Demonstrated ability
to understand existing procedures while looking for ways to improve them
<\/p>
• Experience
performing satellite mission support in a near real -time environment
<\/p>
• Experience
monitoring and quickly digesting the status of multiple large systems and
rapidly reasoning through and prioritizing appropriate responses to real -time
situations
<\/p>
• Strong
troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify cause and effect
relationships
<\/p>
• Ability to learn
quickly and multi -task in a high -pressure work environment
