Warehouse Operations SpecialistJob Type: Full-TimePay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hourLocation: Buffalo, NYSchedule: Monday - Saturday availability requiredExperience: Driving larger truck experience required; Forklift experience required; certification preferredPosition SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and team-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist (WOS) to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, take initiative, and support daily warehouse operations while assisting leadership. The WOS plays a key role in ensuring efficient product sorting, safe equipment operation, and overall warehouse organization. This position also includes opening and/or closing responsibilities and supporting the Donated Goods Manager with daily operational needs.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a forklift to transport and stack bales, pallets, and capsacks safely and efficientlyUnload trucks and move materials to appropriate warehouse locationsMove 20' box trucks to and from the dock for unloadingAssist in developing and executing daily operational plansLead daily morning meetingsComplete and file end-of-day reportsOpen and/or close and secure the warehouse as neededUnload and process donations from multiple trucks dailyCreate bales and assist with inventory organizationLoad trailers and containers, ensuring proper documentationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environmentCollaborate with team members, leadership, and donorsSupport and help guide warehouse associates to meet team goalsFollow all safety policies and company proceduresPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsForklift certification required (must be maintained)Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficientlyExperience with UPS, FedEx, or other shipping carriers preferredClean motor vehicle recordStrong attendance and punctualityExcellent communication, organization, and multitasking skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 10 hours per dayAbility to lift up to 60 pounds regularlyComfortable performing heavy lifting and repetitive tasksWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking on leadership responsibilities in a warehouse setting.
