.NET Developer II

Provide daily support with resolution of escalated tickets and act as liaison to business and technical leads to ensure issues are resolved in timely manner. Experience developing and supporting applications including scripting skills in Perl, Unix Shell Scripting and Windows batch scripting.

A major client of ours has a need for a .Net Developer who will program and build software using languages and technologies of the .NET framework. You will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support. This is an initial 6-month contract with possibilities of extension. The position is hybrid and located in Midtown Manhattan. We are looking for someone with a background in financial services with experience in equity back office preferred.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
• Participate in requirements analysis
• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
• Test and deploy applications and systems
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code
• Improve existing software
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support

 

Skills:

• Experience in Application Support and development or related experience.
• Experience developing and supporting applications including scripting skills in Perl, Unix Shell Scripting and Windows batch scripting.
• Experience in Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management.
• Provide daily support with resolution of escalated tickets and act as liaison to business and technical leads to ensure issues are resolved in timely manner.
