Position Overview
The Concrete & Masonry Project Manager will oversee projects from pre-construction through completion, collaborating with estimating teams, field leadership, general contractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction knowledge, experience with commercial concrete and masonry projects, strong plan-reading skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
This is primarily an office-based position with occasional local jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and project coordination meetings.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates
• Develop bids, proposals, and project pricing
• Review project scopes and identify potential risks, conflicts, and cost impacts
• Manage construction projects from award through completion
• Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, and project requirements with field teams
• Communicate effectively with general contractors, owners, suppliers, vendors, and crews
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Track project progress, budgets, schedules, and overall performance
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, project meetings, and occasional site visits
• Resolve issues proactively and provide effective solutions
• Help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably
Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of construction estimating experience required
• Commercial concrete and/or masonry construction experience strongly preferred
• Experience with project management, estimating, or pre-construction processes
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Proven experience with construction takeoffs, bids, proposals, and cost analysis
• Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Valid driver's license required for occasional local travel
