    Position Purpose:
    Coordinate after school program to enrich students' educational experiences that allows them to meet
    their full potential. Provide overall program management to help students demonstrate growth in Math
    and Reading/Language Arts skills, including improving positive behavior changes and school attendance
    to support academic growth.

    Essential Job Functions
    • Responsible for the overall on-site management of the after-school program and compliance with
    State guidelines
    • Obtains eighteen (18) professional development hours each year
    • Supervises on-site extended learning staff
    • Plans weekly/monthly activity schedule and maintains enrollment data and records
    • Submits timesheets and expense receipts and reports achievement and disciplinary data for each
    student to administration
    • Resolves conflicts with students, parents, and staff members
    • Trains staff in safety procedures and CPR
    • Implements and documents monthly safety drills, including fire, tornado, and lockdown
    • Ensures site program meets all State-mandated requirements (i.e., site minimum hours per week of
    services)
    • Completes and submits food and nutrition service records
    • Ensures site participant data is accurate in the student management system

    Additional Duties:

    - Assist guidance, pupil services staff or building administration, as needed.

    - Perform any other related duties as assigned.

    - Travel outside of the county for training and between schools or between schools and central offices,
    may be required for certain positions.

    - Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

    - Ability to assist and guide students to reinforce math, reading/language arts, STEM, and other skills.

    - Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).

    - Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.

    - Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.

    - Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with special needs.

    - Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others
    contacted in the course of work.

    - Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.

    - Effective writing and verbal communication skills.

    Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards

    - Works in standard office and school building environments.

    - Ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.

    Qualifications Profile

    - Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful
    performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

    - High School diploma or equivalent.

    - Successful completion of Para Pro test or an Associate Degree.

    - Prior experience working with students is desirable.
