    Description

    We're looking for a seasoned Construction Estimator to join a growing commercial general contractor in NC, FL and TX. This is a chance to lead precon efforts on projects up to $15M across healthcare, financial, and light industrial sectors, working closely with trade partners, architects, and clients from the earliest stages of a project through award.
    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    • Prepare cost estimates and forecasts by reviewing drawings and specs, gathering data, and attending site visits ahead of submission deadlines
    • Build out full CSI division cost breakdowns along with written assumptions and clarifications
    • Factor in materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation when putting together estimates
    • Determine project resource needs based on cost estimates and budget constraints
    • Analyze project timelines and durations
    • Develop and publish complete bid packages for trade partners and vendors, including scopes of work, alternates, and allowances
    • Qualify and level trade partner and vendor bids for full scope coverage
    • Review costs internally and with clients to help close out successful project awards
    • Lead estimating on design bid build projects, including hard bids and GC plus fee work
    • Mentor interns, coordinators, and assistant estimators
    • Get involved with industry organizations like Associated Builders and Contractors
    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
    • 7+ years in commercial construction
    • Track record estimating projects up to $15M, ideally in healthcare, financial, or light industrial
    • Comfortable managing 2+ projects at once in a fast paced environment
    • Strong problem solving, communication, and time management skills
    • Proficient in estimation software, MS Office, and blueprint reading
    • Solid grasp of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites and pre bid visits
