How this Engineering Lead motivates his team

Adarsh Rajput’s journey with CareerBuilder began three years ago as a Sr. Software Engineer. Last year, he was promoted to the role of Engineering Lead, Software, where he now leads a team of over 10 engineers.

Adarsh recalls joining CareerBuilder because he wanted to work for a multinational corporation, with an established presence in India. We are so glad he found CB!

We asked Adarsh how his career has grown since starting at CareerBuilder. He shares that he appreciates how he’s had the opportunity to work on different projects which have added various tech skills to his experience. He also says that the versatile technology stack and the freedom to do different types of engineering projects gives him multi-dimensional scope.  

Cultivating a positive work environment is a top priority for our managers, so we asked Adarsh how handles team motivation and goals. He said that he uses “manager guidance through one-to-one meetings, appreciative words, a pressure-free work environment, and a variety of tools to help achieve goals.”  

Adarsh also shared with us the best piece of advice he’s ever received: “It’s not the 8-hour daily job that helps achieve deadlines, but 75% effective planning as per your team efforts. I implemented it to my team, and it changed our lives.”
