TV and movies allow us to imagine what it would be like to lead a life different from our own. But they often leave out one of the biggest factors impacting your happiness and quality of life here in the real world: income.

To get a better idea of what it would be like to work for a fictional company, we used Emsi data to take a closer look at six of our favorites, focusing on their industries and location. Then we found the most common occupations in those industries in locations.

So, what might your salary be if you were to accept a job with one of your favorite fictional companies?
