Bay Pines is a teaching hospital and provides a full range of care and services for our Veterans, with state-of-the-art technology and clinical affiliations providing training and mentoring in medicine and surgical services, emergency services, anesthesia, psychiatry and other mental health professions, advanced practice and general nursing, physical medicine, long term care, oncology, neurology, dentistry, nutrition, and a host of others including primary care and specialty care service. Serves as a key advisor to the Chief of Staff, Executive Management, clinical, and administrative staff and is responsible for providing technical guidance on health information issues such as documentation requirements, encounter completion, industry and federal regulatory compliance, advance directives, informed consent, clinical documentation integrity, medical coding, release of information, transcription/speech recognition, scanning and indexing, health information exchange, etc.
