Stays abreast of current developments in the college sexual assault field by participating in professional development activities, including listservs, reviewing current literature and research, and attending professional conferences and trainings; remains informed of relevant policy directives including, but not limited to, the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights/Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Clery Act, Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (Campus SaVE Act), NYS Enough Is Enough (EIE), NYS Department of Health Rape Crisis Program and Public Health regulations, HIPAA, and FERPA. Under the leadership of the Director, Training & Prevention, and as a member of the SVR Training & Prevention team, the Assistant Director is responsible for providing advanced leadership, coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative sexual and gender-based violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual and street harassment prevention education, training, and community engagement initiatives across the university.
