Provides contextualized, academic and workplace education to adult students 18 years and older, including instruction in literacy, adult basic education, ESL, GED® test preparation (Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts) and workforce preparation. Reports directly to the Director of Adult Education and provides multi-level, multi-subject instruction to students at community-based locations through in-person and online formats.

Part Time Adult Education Instructor (Warren County)

Contribute to College service, including Student-Focused Service and Mentorship (advising, career services, student organization sponsorship, etc.) and committee, taskforce, and project work at the College, division, and department level. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are generally expected to teach 15 semester credit hours and hold additional in-person and virtual office hours as defined in College policy.

Candidate must have high school diploma/GED, active Cosmetology Instructor’s License with three years current work experience in the Cosmetology profession.

Cosmetology Adjunct/Substitute Instructor, Part Time

The Vocational Instructor performs instructional services of vocational and/or occupational subjects, such as business, computers/technology, carpentry, plumbing and trades which are designed to help inmates/students learn specified subject matter and acquire vocational skills. Must possess current trade certification in the subject vocational area of instruction and be licensed, or be eligible for provisional teaching licensure and trade certification in accordance with Tennessee Department of Education requirements.
