Provides assistance with any security matters at the Jackson County Correctional Institute on assigned shift; conducts investigations on potential security matters; conducts routine security inspections of facility throughout shift; conducts isolation and dorms checks; conducts PREA check; takes head counts throughout the shift; acts on emergency situations following established protocol; breaks up fights among inmates; supervises investigation of rule violation on assigned shift. Environmental Factors: Tasks may require exposure to such environmental conditions as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature, and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, toxic agents, violence, disease, or pathogenic substances.
