Current projects include CRISPR/Cas9-based parasite engineering, functional characterization of parasite genes involved in liver infection and mosquito tranAsmission, identification of novel transmission-blocking vaccine antigens, and translational efforts aimed at improving whole-parasite and subunit malaria vaccines.
