Overview:

Responsibilities:
Under staff supervision the Administrative Intern is responsible for tasks and projects that will be assigned. The projects will be designed to provide a quality learning experience to college students interested in a career in public health, healthcare, or healthcare management. <ul><li>Ability to take direction, understand direction, ask appropriate questions in order to complete tasks</li><li>Ability to assess needs and requirements to complete tasks and projects</li><li>Prioritize work to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner</li><li>Ability to work with physicians, principal investigators, coordinators, and support staff in an appropriate manner</li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality as directed by the Bassett Healthcare policy and/or research subject confidentiality as directed by Institutional Review Board requirements</li><li>Performs other duties as requested and observed by supervisor or manager</li></ul>

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met</li><li>Occasional crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, stooping, fit testing</li><li>Frequent typing/clerical/dexterity, seeing/monitor/computer use, standing, visual acuity (color, depth, perception)</li><li>Constant hearing, taking, walking</li></ul>Hazards:<ul><li>Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure</li></ul>Travel:<ul><li>Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis</li></ul>
