WUSA9, the TEGNA-owned CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C., is looking for two experienced Multi-Skilled Journalists with a proven ability to break stories, shoot and edit on deadline, and connect with audiences on every platform.
We produce and distribute premier filmed entertainment and programming through our powerhouse film and television studios, including Universal Pictures, DreamWorks Animation, and Focus Features, and the four global television studios under the Universal Studio Group banner, and operate industry-leading theme parks and experiences around the world through Universal Destinations & Experiences, including Universal Orlando Resort, home to Universal Epic Universe, and Universal Studios Hollywood. They know how to identify the most effective platform, style, and storytelling approach for each piece of journalism, whether it's breaking news coverage, explanatory reporting, an interview-driven feature, a longform video project, or a recurring digital franchise.
li>Serve as a lead project manager on high intensity, fast moving situations with an ability to coordinate across functional areas (PR, IR, digital, public affairs, global regions, etc.) keeping account leads, clients and the broader team aware of deliverables, strategy and timelines. The Senior Director will be expected to develop and execute client engagements related to friendly and hostile M&A, IPOs, spin-offs, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, activism defense preparation, proxy contests, short attacks, ESG activism and shareholder proposals, among other special situations.
