This role assists with employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, policy enforcement, and performance management while helping lead the HR team. Key Responsibilities<ul><li> HR Operations & Compliance</li><li>Assist in managing day-to-day HR functions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.</li><li>Support audits (payroll, benefits, HR files, 401k, workers’ comp, etc.).</li><li>Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbook.</li><li> Recruitment & Talent Management</li><li>Oversee recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, and onboarding.</li><li>Assist with workforce planning and staffing model evaluations.</li><li>Monitor hiring metrics and retention strategies.</li><li> Employee Relations</li><li>Address employee concerns and workplace investigations.</li><li>Support conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.</li><li>Assist in handling EEOC claims and legal documentation preparation.</li><li> Benefits & Compensation</li><li>Support benefits administration and open enrollment.</li><li>Assist with compensation reviews and salary benchmarking.</li><li>Coordinate with payroll to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Performance Management</li><li>Assist in implementing performance review processes.</li><li>Support leadership in coaching and corrective action plans.</li><li>Help develop training and leadership development programs.</li><li> Leadership Support</li><li>Act as HR Director in their absence.</li><li>Provide guidance to managers and department heads.</li><li>Supervise HR staff as assigned.</li></ul> QualificationsEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.</li><li>Master’s degree preferred.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>5+ years of progressive HR experience.</li><li>2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.</li><li>Healthcare HR experience preferred (if applicable).</li></ul>Certifications (Preferred):<ul><li>SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP</li><li>PHR / SPHR</li></ul> Skills & Competencies<ul><li>Strong knowledge of employment law</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills</li><li>High level of confidentiality and professionalism</li><li>Strong organizational and leadership abilities</li><li>Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems</li></ul></div></div>
