Decisions pertaining to the authorization of overtime, response to emergency situations, application of the progressive discipline system, and responding to customer needs are several of the types of decisions the supervisor must routinely make.
Communication
The supervisor must have strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate at levels throughout the organization is essential. The supervisor is responsible for the performance of their assigned staff and the quality of the services provided in their assigned buildings.
Decision Making:
The custodial supervisor acts in accordance with the Manager of Custodial Services but must have problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently.
