Maintenance oversight responsibilities include: habitat maintenance such as fertilizing, farming, tree planting, mowing, managing large scale irrigation systems and waterfowl nesting structures; public drinking water distribution systems; waste water systems; HVAC systems; vault latrine and full service flush toilet and hot water shower facilities; public visitor centers with exhibits including audio visual systems and specialty lighting; building security and fire protection systems; historic sites and structures; landscaped areas with irrigation systems; campgrounds with electrical distribution systems; picnic shelters; boat docks and ramps; solid rail and wire fences; paved and gravel roadways and parking areas; paved and aggregate surfaced trails; boardwalks; directional, information and interpretive signs, kiosks; maintenance shop facilities and other associated infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):
The knowledge, skills, and abilities of this position are normally attained through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a 2-year degree/training in maintenance, Industrial Arts, Natural Resource Management, Engineering Technology, Mechanics, Land Management, or a related field and/or at least 5 years of general facilities maintenance, construction, repair work, or work in a similar field.
