p>The Program Director & Chair of Physician Assistant Studies provides visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) program at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. This senior academic leader is responsible for programmatic excellence, accreditation compliance, faculty and staff leadership, curriculum innovation, and student success, while advancing PCOM’s mission of osteopathic, patient-centered, and competency-based health professions education.

The Program Director is expected to demonstrate expertise in: Surgical procedures and sterile technique Operating room protocols and patient safety Surgical instrumentation and technology Accreditation and credentialing requirements (e.g., CST, CSFA pathways) The role requires the ability to support students in high-stress clinical environments, guide professional development, and ensure readiness for certification and employment in surgical settings. Employees in this role will: Advise and support students regarding academic progress, clinical performance, and certification readiness Lead programmatic decision-making Ensure compliance with accreditation, institutional, and regulatory requirements Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and excellence in surgical care The role also supports institutional events such as Orientation, Graduation, advisory committee meetings, and employer engagement initiatives.

li>Run operating rhythms (planning, OKRs, delivery tracking, reporting) to drive alignment, accountability, and transparency across Data & Analytics, ensuring OKRs are clearly defined, aligned across teams, and tracked with measurable outcomes.

p>The role has been established to strengthen leadership readiness for critical water and wastewater pursuits and to support long-term succession planning for our active programs, ensuring experienced program leadership is in place to transition seamlessly from pursuit through delivery.

Current Programs include municipal drinking water systems, wastewater treatment facilities, collection and conveyance networks, water reuse, regulatory compliance and consent decree programs, climate resilience initiatives as well as major capacity expansion and rehabilitation efforts.
