Under the direction and supervision of a Speech/Language Pathologist, assists in supplementing, enhancing, and extending speech/language therapy services by completing a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to, direct activities with patients designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
