We are a non-profit agency that provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy through the Inland Empire since 1972.  The agency has an exciting job opportunity for a part-time Clerical Assistant position in our San Bernardino office.  We are looking for individuals who have a high school diploma or equivalent. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Perform administrative support work including word processing, proofreading, filing, checking, and recording information on records.</li><li>Type a variety of documents including letters, memorandums, agendas, financial reports, minutes, or other materials from oral direction, rough draft, copy, notes, or transcribing machine recordings.</li><li>Sort, code, scan, and file correspondence, vouchers, forms, documents, and other materials numerically, alphabetically or by other predetermined classification.</li><li>Check records and papers for grammatical and arithmetic accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards and procedures. Make revisions or corrections as needed or requested.</li><li>Maintain sections of a central records system; enter or extract information on or from records.</li><li>Sort and deliver mail.</li><li>Assure supply levels and usage of forms are known and monitored for shelf supply.</li><li>Update knowledge through readings, briefings, and training.</li><li>Drive vehicle/travel to other offices/locations to pickup/deliver documents and materials and to assist other clerical support unit as needed or assigned.</li><li>Work cooperatively and effectively with others. Perform as a member of the team, answer questions, share expertise and contribute to the harmony of the team.</li><li>Use office equipment appropriately and report the need for any repairs. Keep work area neat and orderly.  Observe all safety rules and comply with IRC’s Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and Workplace Violence Prevention Plan.</li><li>Handle change well and be flexible and adaptable in dealing with interruptions, new priorities and new assignments.</li><li>Maintain good attendance and punctuality.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Keep manager informed of pending work, work in progress and problems encountered.</li><li>Utilize agency’s IT systems as assigned, maintaining security and following agency’s protocol and procedures, rules, and requirements.</li><li>Attend training sessions as required.</li><li>Comply with and ensure program compliance with agency’s Personnel Policies and Procedures.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.</li><li>Ability to spell and punctuate correctly and make simple arithmetical computations.</li><li>Ability to follow oral and written directions.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Bilingual preferred.</li><li>Full use of an automobile, possession of a valid California driver's license and liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law or ability to provide for independent transportation. Must have and maintain a safe driving record.</li></ul>SIGN-ON BONUS:<ul><li>$250 sign-on bonus after the completion of 90 days of employment at IRC with work performance in good standing.</li><li>$500 sign-on bonus after the completion of 6 months of employment at IRC with work performance in good standing.</li><li>Make sure to tell us if an IRC employee referred you when you get to that question on your application!
