Essential Job Functions: • Must follow original equipment manufacturer guidance, AFI, regulations and unit direction • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in medical devices, performing necessary repairs or coordinating with vendors for service when required • Maintain detailed service records, documenting repairs, maintenance actions, and performance evaluations • Assist in the installation and configuration of new biomedical equipment, ensuring proper functionality • Life cycle management, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of medical and non-medical support equipment (oxygen generating systems, radiographic diagnostics equipment, life support systems, etc.) • Determines associated support items of equipment in order to perform scheduled services and maintenance repairs and calibration; supply support and provisioning requirements; and training requirements • Prepares necessary support documentation and purchase requisitions of parts • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • Associate's degree • Must have graduated from the DoD Biomedical Maintenance Course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance Course • Must graduate from the Planmeca digital dental course no later than 12 months after start • Minimum 4 years of field experience in performing and managing: initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, life cycle management, and repair of medical equipment within OEM guidance, advanced: diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of medical and non-medical support equipment (oxygen generating systems, radiographic diagnostics equipment, advanced life support systems, etc.) • Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance • Travel may be required for this position.
