Working knowledge of laws affecting health care including but not limited to: EMTALA, HIPAA, Stark, Anti-kickback, fraud and abuse, Medicare/Medicaid, Florida health care laws, contracts, malpractice laws, 501(c)(3) requirements, information technology contracting, billing and collections, research compliance and contracting, health care intellectual property, labor and employment and corporate law. The In-House Counsel is a corporate role responsible for: providing legal advice to the organization on a variety of topics; collaborating with materials management, finance, legal, and operational leaders to ensure the contract review, approval, and administration processes are effectively managed.
