What You’ll Do: Under the supervision of the Clinical Operations Manager, the Milieu Counselor is responsible for managing the milieu through client engagement and crisis intervention, as well as facilitating groups and activities as needed. De-escalate struggling patients in the community with an understanding of crisis management techniques to reduce overall incidents and need for manual holds.

Working collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, the Inpatient Psychiatric Counselor provides individual and group interventions under the direct supervision of a licensed occupational therapist in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, communicate and effectively deal with complex affective-charged situations and possess group facilitation and crisis management skills.
