Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Primarily outpatient with optional inpatient consultative servicesCall Ratio: Shared call rotation among gastroenterology providersEquipment/Resources: Access to advanced endoscopic equipment (e.g., EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP if applicable), imaging services, and comprehensive GI support resourcesProvider Support: Collaborative team of gastroenterologists, Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs), Medical Assistants Primary Responsibilities:Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, GERD, and colorectal conditions Perform endoscopic procedures such as upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy; advanced procedures (e.g., ERCP, EUS) if trained Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies, imaging, and pathology results Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary Provide preventive care, including colorectal cancer screening and patient education on digestive health Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and hospital committees Supervise and collaborate with APPs to optimize patient outcomes Unrestricted CA medical license and DEA license.
