Classification: Senior Assistant Attorney General
Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least six (6) years of legal experience, along with exceptional analytical, research, and written and verbal communication skills. The Senior AAG will also serve as a key litigation resource across the OAG, providing strategic counsel to senior leadership and the Attorney General’s executive team.

Transportation & Parking: The Consumer Protection Division is located in a convenient downtown Baltimore location, near the Light Rail and Metro, museums, shops, restaurants and other attractions.
Experience: Undergraduate, graduate, and law students from various academic fields including public administration, sociology, pre-law, communications, political science and international relations have completed internships with this office. You will learn about mediation as a method of resolving disputes and receive practical hands-on experience in using various mediation techniques to resolve consumer complaints.
You will also learn how to explain the law and give practical advice and consumer tips to help Marylanders resolve their current problems and avoid future complaints.
You will work with the Units professional staff and may have interaction with retired professionals who volunteer with the unit as well as other interns from undergraduate, graduate, and law schools in the area. The successful intern will have good writing and speaking skills, be able to work independently, demonstrate a genuine interest in helping people, and be able to communicate effectively with the public.
