Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentifies and pursues strategic customers, markets, and project opportunities;Researches market trends, upcoming developments, construction pipelines, and industry opportunities;Builds market-entry strategies for new territories, vertical markets, or customer segments;Creates and executes annual business development plans aligned with company goals;Develops target account lists and relationship maps;Positions the company with owners, developers, architects, general contractors, consultants, and end users;Establishes executive-level relationships with property owners, developers, general contractors, architects, brand managers, procurement teams, and hospitality and gaming decision-makers;Conducts regular face-to-face meetings, networking events, industry conferences, lunches, and site visits;Maintains consistent touchpoints with target customers;Identifies projects before they hit the bid market;Gathers project intelligence including scope, budget, timeline, decision-makers, competition, and procurement strategy;Qualifies opportunities using established sales criteria and develops opportunity strategies before handoff;Introduces qualified opportunities to assigned Account Executives;Supports relationship development, strategic presentations, executive meetings, and proposal positioning during the sales process;Ensures opportunity details are clearly transferred during handoff;Provides project background, customer expectations, and strategic context to Project Management;Participates in project kickoff meetings when appropriate;Remains engaged with strategic customers throughout the project lifecycle;Assists with issue resolution or executive communication as needed;Helps secure follow‑on opportunities during project execution;Monitors competitor activity, pricing trends, and market shifts;Tracks construction starts, permitting activity, and development pipelines;Identifies emerging customer needs and recommends strategic initiatives based on market intelligence;Treats all employees with respect;Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and integrity in all customer and internal interactions;Adheres to and exemplifies the mission and core values of YESCO;Promotes safety at all times and in all situations;Performs other duties as assigned. Education and/or ExperienceA Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field; or 7–15+ years of related experience in business development, strategic sales, construction sales, or project-based sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
