DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The St. Charles Health System Pharmacy provides a broad range of hospital and outpatient pharmaceutical care services to deliver high quality, effective, safe, reliable, and affordable medication therapy for our patients. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Required: Current MA Certification from one of the following: The American Medical Technology Association (AMT), The National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), The American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), The National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Certification, National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or current Oregon licensure as an intermediate or paramedic level EMT, LPN, RN, or Athletic Trainer. Provides a therapeutic presence in service to others by purposefully responding to the needs of patients in a caring way, including introducing oneself and explaining role in patient's care, asking the patient his or her preferred name, sitting with the patient to determine his or her care goals, active listening, communicating effectively and appropriately through touch, eye contact, etc. BEND-PROGRESSIVE CARE UNIT-EXP (PROGRESSIVE CARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED): Additional Requirements: Basic ECG course, 12 Lead ECG course, or successful completion of Basic ECG competency test for internal applicants TNCC certification within 12 months of hire.

RN Progressive Care Unit

Provides a therapeutic presence in service to others by purposefully responding to the needs of patients in a caring way, including introducing oneself and explaining role in patient's care, asking the patient his or her preferred name, sitting with the patient to determine his or her care goals, active listening, communicating effectively and appropriately through touch, eye contact, etc. Assesses the patient's condition and needs using critical thinking and clinical judgment: sets outcomes; implements appropriate nursing actions and collaborates with other disciplines to meet the patient's/family's physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual needs; and evaluates patient's progress.

RN Intermediate Care Unit

Responsible for wound and ostomy care and oversight for patients referred to the Wound & Ostomy department; including wound care assessment, implementation of wound care interventions, ostomy consultations, stoma site markings, consultation with physicians, communication and collaboration with members of the care team, and support organizational education activities promoting wound healing and ostomy care. Provides wound and ostomy care for patients per direction of the certified wound and ostomy nurse; including wound care assessment, implementation of wound care interventions per the supervision of the certified wound and ostomy nurse, communication and collaboration with members of the care team, and support organizational education activities promoting wound healing and preventing skin break down.

RN Wound Care

Provides a therapeutic presence in service to others by purposefully responding to the needs of patients in a caring way, including introducing oneself and explaining role in patient's care, asking the patient his or her preferred name, sitting with the patient to determine his or her care goals, active listening, communicating effectively and appropriately through touch, eye contact, etc. Occasionally (25%): Bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing ladder/stepstool (varies by area), reaching overhead, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 25-50 pounds, grasping/squeezing, ability to hear whispered speech level.
