Responsibilities: In this the role the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant will perform the following job duties: Care of patients in a clinic setting by performing ophthalmic examinations such as, Visual Assessments, Pupillary Assessments, Tonometry, Lensometry, Contact Lens, Visual Field Examinations, Slit Lamp Examinations Goldman Visual Fields, and Ophthalmic photography. In this role, you will work alongside ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional eye care services in a collaborative, patient-centered environment while supporting the mission of improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant / Certfied Ophthalmic Technician | Eye Center - the Oaks | Gainesville

In a second capacity, the support tech serves as the unit desk support managing the nurse call system needs, answering telephones, stocking supplies/equipment, filing, and ensuring a clean and uncluttered environment of care. In a priority role, the support tech serves as a mobility assistant, and works with the registered nurse to optimize patient mobility using specialized patient lifting equipment.
