Primary job duties include, but are not limited to: - Coordinate with other the supervisors of Peer Education and Mental Health to ensure only certified and approved courses are being instructed, coordinating training on curriculum, and when addressing any delivery concerns; - Responsible for data and tracking of programming and participation in the Reimagine Unit; - Enter all eOMIS assignments, certificates, and data for the Reimagine Unit, be responsible for reporting numbers, ensuring data is accurate for monthly, semi, and annual reports; - Responsible for resource coordination; - Make appropriate requests with justification for supplies through the HQ Prison Programs office; - Work with the unit staff and the Reimagine offender leaders to recruit, vet, and present new candidates to the Internal Classification Committee for assignment; - Research education levels and status for individuals seeking to participate in the program; - Coordinate communication and services between offenders and case management, education, GED Testing, and RESTORE for the participants in the program. The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) education department works to assist in reducing inmate recidivism by engaging inmates in opportunities through outcome and evidence based Academic, Social Science, and Career and Technical Education programs to make positive behavioral changes, become law-abiding, productive citizens upon release, and ensuring that offenders obtain entry level, marketable jobs skills prior to community re-entry.
