To connect with us, visit www.usatodayco.comMachine OperatorGannett Publishing ServicesGainesville, FLWe are seeking a hands-on, motivated Team Lead to oversee daily operations in our small-scale manufacturing plant specializing in printing and packaging.The ideal candidate will have experience in the printing industry, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.This role is critical in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of efficiency and team morale.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and supervise a team of production workers to meet daily manufacturing goals.</li><li>Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to ensure optimal use of resources and equipment.</li><li>Monitor production quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.</li><li>Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices.</li><li>Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.</li><li>Track performance metrics, report on production output, downtime, and improvement opportunities.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.</li><li>3+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the printing or packaging industry.</li><li>Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong understanding of printing processes (e.g., flexographic, offset, digital) and related equipment.</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.</li><li>Proficiency with basic computer systems and production tracking tools.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and printing materials.</li><li>Standing, walking, and lifting required throughout the shift.</li><li>Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.</li></ul>USA TODAY Co., Inc. is a proud equal opportunity employer committed to building and maintaining a diverse workforce.
