Assists with management activities in the event of the absence of the Program Manager or Assist Manager. Attend required agency meetings and training or meetings as requested by Program Manager.

The Instructor is responsible for staff supervision, development and implementation of instructional lesson plans, customer welfare and safety. The Instructor has primary responsibility for monitoring and managing the activities on the floor.Education/Experience:High school diploma or GED with one year of college course work (30 units) of social work, counseling, therapeutic recreation, adapted physical/special education or related human service field with a minimum of two years of experience working in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities. An AA degree with an emphasis in human services may be substituted for one year of experience.Provide program support in such areas as:<ul><li>Deliver lesson and academic plans</li><li>Provides direction in curriculum/academic building, art, music, drama and other activities</li><li>Assists with management activities in the event of the absence of the Program Manager or Assist Manager</li><li>Develops CIP calendars and schedules</li><li>Monitors documentation and data recording/collection in customer binders</li><li>Assists with service plan implementation and evaluation</li><li>Evaluation and reporting on customer activity</li><li>Provide input for ISP</li><li>Assist with funding, regulatory and agency communication and reporting</li><li>Assist with and meet Community Care Licensing regulations (Title 17 & 22)</li></ul>Customer and Staff support:<ul><li>Develop and maintain good rapport with customers, staff, and stakeholders</li><li>Provide staff supervision, training and performance feedback</li><li>Manage or provide supervision of medication distribution</li><li>Ensure customer and employee welfare and safety</li><li>Provide customer transportation before, during and after program</li><li>Assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance</li><li>Participate in customer meetings as needed</li><li>Attend required agency meetings and training or meetings as requested by Program Manager</li><li>Provide support in the absence of staff</li><li>Provide support in the absence of Program Manager and/or Program Assistant Manager</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>
