About the Role:Albany Berkeley Soccer Club is looking for a passionate and energetic Youth Soccer Coach to inspire the next generation of players in Berkeley, CA. This is your chance to make a real impact on young athletes by building skills, confidence, and a love for the beautiful game. Responsibilities:- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer practices and training sessions
- Teach fundamental soccer skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive techniques
- Coach players during games, providing real-time feedback and tactical guidance
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging team environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding player development and schedules
- Monitor player progress and adjust training programs to meet individual and team needs
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and matches
Requirements:- Previous experience coaching or playing soccer at a youth, club, or competitive level
- Strong understanding of soccer rules, techniques, and player development principles
- US Soccer or USSF coaching license (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with youth and parents
- Patient, motivating, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for youth development
- Must pass a background check
