    Description

    The Northeast Georgia Regional Commission (NEGRC) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Youth Program Manager. The Youth Program Manager is responsible for management of Workforce Development youth programs. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act programs. The candidate will have knowledge of managing multiple programs simultaneously, and of contract management principles ensuring compliance with federal and state policy and regulations.

    The position requires attention to detail in gathering applications, submitting proper paperwork for payroll and managing the In-School Youth Work Experience programs. The Youth Program Manager attends Workforce Development Board meetings and prepares and presents youth updates and recommendations from the Youth Committee. The Youth Program Manager schedules and meets with the Northeast Georgia Youth Committee quarterly or as needed.

    Required:

    Ø Knowledge of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and relevant labor laws.

    Ø Knowledge of contract management principles.

    Ø Skill in managing social media communications.

    Ø Skill in developing working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

    Ø Proficiency in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe) and office equipment such as a postage machine, copier and scanner.

    Ø Skill in the preparation of clear and precise reports.

    Ø Skill in oral and written communication.

    Preferred:

    Ø More than four years of related experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Ø Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field desired.

    This position reports to the NEGRC's Workforce Development Director. The range for annual salary starts at $57,127 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. A competitive benefits package is provided.
