Highland Church of Christ is an independent Restoration movement congregation that values God's word and people. We consider it a family church: the folks Highland show love and concern one another. Our corner of Johnson City is a farming community known for raising cattle, but lately the area has been becoming more suburban.

Highland Church of Christ is seeking a full-time Youth Minister who has a heart for God, a love for young people, and a passion for helping students become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. We are looking for a spiritually mature, energetic, and relational leader who will partner with parents, church leadership, and our congregation to build a youth ministry grounded in Scripture, strengthened by meaningful relationships, and focused on discipleship. The Youth Minister will provide leadership and direction for our middle school and high school ministry, helping students grow in their faith, develop a biblical worldview, build strong relationships, and discover their place in the life and mission of the church.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach and communicate God's Word in a clear, engaging, and age-appropriate manner.
• Plan and lead weekly youth Bible classes, devotionals, and ministry activities.
• Develop meaningful relationships with students and provide spiritual encouragement and guidance.
• Partner with parents to support the spiritual development of their children.
• Organize youth events, retreats, service projects, camps, and other discipleship opportunities.
• Encourage students to participate in worship, service, and the broader life of the congregation.
• Recruit, equip, and encourage adult volunteers who serve in youth ministry.
• Work cooperatively with the elders, minister, and other church leaders.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment for all students.
