Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life. Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, 50-meter swimming pool, and training pool. The Tumbling Youth Instructor is responsible for creating a friendly, helpful, positive atmosphere for members participating in group classes through supervision and by developing and managing high-quality youth programs. Come be a part of a NEW and EXCITING YOUTH PROGRAM here at the West Boise YMCA! Schedule: This is a part time position averaging 6-12 hours weekly based on class schedule. Schedule requirements are Tuesday/Thursday, 9:30am-noon. Pay: $17.94 - $26.91 per class rate. Pay based on experience, class length and age group. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver tumbling lessons that teach tumbling maneuvers through demonstration and safe practices for students of different ages and skill levels. Ensure thorough warm-ups prior to lesson plan and practices. Create a positive and exciting classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth. Maintain a clean, safe and organized studio space. Stay current with trends and techniques to continually enhance your teaching skills. Communicate effectively with the Youth Director. Follow safety, CAP, and code procedures. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Tumbling/Gymnastic Teacher or relevant role; 1 year minimum. Excellent teaching and communication skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Patient, positive, and enthusiastic attitude. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
